When the sea defines design
When there is a design development of the scale of this project, with such a close proximity to the sea, the one obvious design inspiration has to be the sea. Besides, the presence of a few natural water bodies near the development confirmed our belief that the primary design factor would be water.
The result of this simple insight was luxury villas in the sky with private pools, large water bodies across the development and a villa development phase planned along an entire natural lagoon, which includes boating and private jetty.
Design Direction
An inspiring site with inspiring views
The 35 acres site is located within 500m of the beach line under Chennai municipal limits. It is approached directly through the East Coast Road and a secondary road along its 800m long property line.
Inspired by lots of water
The common design thread in the villas and the sky apartments in this project is obvious – water. While the villas enjoy the proximity of a long, natural lagoon with a jetty and boating, the apartments are unique in luxury. Many apartments get a private swimming pool.
Alert! Water rising
The High rise luxury apartments (around 3200 to 5700 sqft SBA) are located in four towers around 60m high with approx built-up area of 4,20,000 sqft. Additionally stilt/covered parking area of 1,25,000 sqft. Select apartments get a private swimming pool, and all the apartments get splendid views of the Bay of Bengal.
A luxury weekend getaway
The homes are designed to be luxury weekend getaways. The design of G+2 luxury villas (4150 to 5250 sqft SBA range) is a mix of fully detached and semi detached types with terraces and pools with approx total built-up area of 7,30,000 sqft.
Moulded around the surroundings
We included considerations of the master plan in the villas. The scheme exploits the prospects of existing lagoons, ensuring privacy to create a living environment with resort style character.
