Cisco’s sales office in Mumbai is a showpiece space for the company. This is an office where customers drop in to see the latest Cisco products and experience demos. The design had to reflect Cisco’s culture and brand, while making a great first impression each day.

A showpiece office for innovation

Here was a unique project where customer spaces had to embrace employee spaces seamlessly and deliver a complete brand experience to all stake holders involved. The design strategy hence, evolved into an experience where public, semi-public and secure private spaces flowed into each other dissolving set visual barriers between them.

While a contemporary tone and sleek straight line settings formed the core of the visual and spatial design, function has been integrated with active collaboration spaces sprinkled across the office. For example, an employee E-café placed centrally unites neighborhoods with a themed concept called ‘Mumbai Cafe’ encouraging collaboration for employees.

Designed around Cisco’s people

The office has multiple neighbourhoods which are brought together by a central space, branded as the ‘Mumbai Cafe’. This space provides for a break-out and passive collaboration opportunities. Cisco is a company that prides itself on creating technology that helps people collaborate; this space symbolises that brand mission.

Cisco’s brand premise, installed

The office embraces the CISCO connected work-space policy and is the first sales office in India-enabled with CISCO collaboration video technology along with the deployment of the Cisco’s Smart spaces.

Contrasting textures play with colours

The material palette comprises of a rich hue of contrasting textures and colors along with iconic furniture and accent lighting creating a stimulating ambiance. All materials have been carefully selected keeping in mind operational ease and maintenance of the facility in the long run.

E-cafe

The employee E café placed centrally, comprises of both active and passive collaboration space with interactive team games as table tennis, Foosball, carom, chess. Video equipment and media displays are provided so that local teams interact with teams in different locations and keep up with current news at various points thus delivering a virtual collaboration user experience.

Transparent throughout

An open transparency of workspace is achieved with minimalist play of glass walls and colors all throughout the interiors thus expanding the space within. Each neighborhood has its cluster of meeting spaces and space for visual communication along with story telling walls that feature team information. Overall, the design of the sales office for Cisco at Mumbai delivers an experience of an island of calm and sophistication amidst all that keeps maximum city buzzing.
